These are all meant to fly even when there is no wind. The kites we build in this catagory get lighter and lighter as we refine our techniques. The dark shots in the middle are of a stack of three 7 foot morpho gliders. They are each less than 2 ounces. The kite at the top in my hand is the very first Photon Fighter kite. It weighs about 4 grams maybe 5 if it's real humid out. The kite on the right at the top is so stable that it will park in a doorway and fly in the draft created by an air conditioning unit. Haven't weighed it yet but it's gotta be less than 12 grams. Below left is a shot of myself and Dean Jordan. I'm not sure where Dean is trying to place his hand but it is only a still photo. The two kites are jordan air Millenniums that we custom made for the gig at Epcot Center.
